My computer say i hold dvd/cd-rw drive .does that penny-pinching i can burn dvds?

NO, DVD-RW, ETC. WOULD MEAN YOU CAN BURN DVD'S. YOU CAN ONLY BURN CD'S
no merely cd-rw. cd -rw are cd that can be burned again and again.
well what it is that u hold a dvd rom and a cd burner so u can only burn cd's single
No. It must say dvdr/cdr/rw
It sounds close to it might. Normally the rw means both read and write know-how. It might mean freshly for cd's though. Your menu for the drive should be able to detail you what it can do.
With a DVD/CD-rw you can read and write/burn normal CD's but can lone read DVD's.
That may not be the case.

There are combo drives, characterization they can durn CD's as well as READ DVDs. So users does not own to buy seperate drives to read DVD's.

However, DVD burners could read and burn both CD's and DVD's.

If you have Nero Burning software installed, it can detect what type of prevailing conditions (CD or DVD) a drive could burn onto.
No, just CD's.
