my computer usb part is out of use?

i own windows 2000 computer and i never used my usb and immediately when i tried to use it, it doesn't work

someone told me that when you buy a windos 2000 computer they don't turn the usb on

so you have to turn it on manually.

so does anybody know how turn it on

gratefulness.

my computer usb part is out of use?

True, check the bios and make sure that USB is enabled. consequently right click on My Computer, select Manage, click on Device Manager and check the Universal Serial Bus (USB) controllers at or near the bottom of the document. Make sure that the drivers are up to date. Good Luck. By the way, may PC author turn off the USB ports on the front, but they almost other have afterwards on in the stern of the PC.
go into your bios option and there will be a usb alternative, also check to make sure usb drivers are installed
The O.S. 2000 comes complete, and I can't see Microsoft not providing USB.

Compatibility could be the problem or the USB cable could be at guiltiness. Change it, and if this doesn't help, contact Microsoft on the lattice.

I hope this helps.
Too true. and afterwards, it is only USB 1, not USB 2.2 (upto 200 times faster!). Plus, some of the elder mainboards become defective in the USB chip... Have one here. Inserted open card in PCI slot, and it runs at the bright fast USB 2.2 rates!
If your computer is had it properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
