my computer doesn't recognise a Sony DVD/RW model AW-G170A as anybody get any concept what to do.?

I,ve removed CD/rw and replaced it near DVD/RW, it will recognise on start then afterwards completly lose.

I had one and the same problem and i couldn't believe how easy it be to sort (thanks to RunQA!!!)



Take the dvd back out of your computer, and later turn it your computer on and leave it for a few mins. Next, turn rotten your compter and install it in agian and later reboot and try again.



On my compter it regonised it at first and then wouldn't rob it, but once I did that it took it fine and its the same as your Sony!!

try and check on the entrepreneur website to see if anyone else has have this problem. Look on the FAQ of the company. Also check to see that you have get the latest drivers. Hope this help
did you install the rom your self if so set the jumper its on the posterior of the cd rom a wee plug should be on master put it to slave ther is a wee diagram on top and if that does work reinstall you r old rom from one and the same wire but set the ripened rom to master or the other way round of late fiddle around DONT GET FRIED you do not want to reinstall windows it will find it its self
i'd the model until that time!



had to download drivers and flash the dvds bios surrounded by process to get it working!!
