It's any a bad disc, dirty lens contained by the cd-rom or you are having Drive controller issues.



Try different discs, if it is still reading slow, bring back a cd-rom cleaner. They run for probably 10 bucks at any electronics store.



If you still have problems, next you need to go and get someone experienced to look at it.
