I've "heard" this problem with like mad of Dell's - you'll have to telephone call tech support and probably get replacement parts. We've found it's usually the enthusiast but Dell has be replacing the motherboard & heat sink also.

If it is making like mad of Noise, then it could be a few different things.



By reading your query, I am going to assume that you are not computer savvy. So I will start with the ground rules.



Most likely, any your power supply, case or CPU devotee is starting to fail. When the bearing get gunked up they start to brand name noise, pandemonium that could sound similar to an engine I guess.



Take a look at where the nouns is emanating from, if it is the thoroughly back of the crust, by where the power cable plugs into the computer, next it is probably the power supply fan.



Your best bet would be to steal it to someone who knows in the region of computers and have them look at it.
