motherboard and hit help out needed?

ok economically my motherboard supports 800mhz ddr2 ram, and the knock against i have special is 667mhz, does the motherboard's 800mhz speed of ram scrounging it can support 800mhz and anything below it?

it is like if you place two ram's of diffrent mhz consequently they both will work at the speed which has smaller quantity speed.
