(3.5drive) I can read and open out files but when i try to save a modify, it does not work. I can see the light on and drive spinning but after a long while a command box open and says the disk is not formatted. It basically started doing this and making more noise.
Whats wrong? How can i fix this?
My A drive is worn-out...?
Go buy a untried one for 10 bucks
You might want to check the box that the floppy disk came surrounded by and check to see if it is formatted or not, otherwise you may have to format the disk beforehand you can save something on it.
you want a new floppy disc therye scandalous for going bad the obedient news is theyre cheap
If your running Windows, I suggest you right-click on your A: drive, and click Format.
This disk also might be unresponsive. If so, you'll have to buy a trial one.
Does it happen on adjectives disks? If so, it's the drive, and you can get a cheap replacement efficiently enough. Open up the suitcase, disconnect the wires, unscrew the drive, put the new one contained by.
If it's only one disk, afterwards that disk is fried. Can't do much except use another disk or maybe find a piece of equipment that can handle it so you can verbs the data.
you should be merry it's not working. exotic computers don't even come with them anymore.
floppy drives are horrifically unreliable. that's why most people use usb flash drives presently. they are gettting cheaper all the time. you can store hundreds of floppy disks on one tiny flash drive.
i get a 512mb flash drive at staples.com for $15 and it is so reliable i can't believe it.
