my 160 see WD HD make a click click click thud....?

When i power it up. Sometimes it get recognized and I can access it surrounded by windows, sometimes it does not. Sometimes it get recognized out of the blue as a removable drive (exp. Memory stick) Then works for a while next just vanish off window. I checked the warranty off Western Digital's site and it have no warranty, which is a joke because it is a 160 Gigabyte SATA easier said than done drive that I have not even have for 2 years. I would like to try to win it to work , what are my options ?

FYI, Seagate have a 5-year warranty on their hard drives. Nobody can game that.

If you can *hear* your hard drive, afterwards it's not a O/S issue anymore; it's a hardware failure. Save what you can from it, and replace the drive.
Save as much as you can from it, it's toast.
It's going unpromising. Save all your significant data onto cd's or another unyielding drive. I've had WD's until that time and I've had others and tolerate me tell you, at hand are bad ones everywhere!
if you want to own your data support then i suggest you to travel to a service and they will save your background to a new hd.this knotty drive never be as a new one
Ive never really have any trouble with western digital tricky drives... I always thot they be a pretty good competence product... did you drop it or something? that would deffinatly kill it. Safe adjectives your data from it, produce sure all your cable and what not are plugged in. clicking is not a right sign but who knows when it will in truth go. so merely save adjectives your work and stuff, jsut incase
