Missing local complex disk?

Hi in that

I recently arranged to upgrade the amount of hard disk gait I have and bought and 160gb tough disk. I installed it and the boot system says that it be installed correctly but still I am unable to see the concrete disk in windows(XP home). Can anyone explain the purpose for this.

Missing local complex disk?

First, make sure the jersey settings are set correctly. If they are

Goto:

Control panel->Administration tools->computer management

Double click on storage on the right pane->disk headship

There should be an undefined drive nominated

Right click on the drive, and then format it.

It should assign a missive to it after it is formatted
Even though the boot systems recognized your spanking new hard disk, you still involve to prepare it for usage by formatting it, partitioning it, and assigning a drive letter to the investigational partition(s).

Have you ever done this before? If not, consequently you should search online for give a hand on how to install a new tricky disk to a computer; I'm sure that you'll find plenty of articles explaining in details what to do.

Good luck!!
Make sure the jersey settings are correct

Have you done a Format on the drive.

Boot from the XP disk and follow the instructions.
