powerfully i am taking a computer archtecture cours and we are studing MIPS process but i just cant imagain where on earth is this process in the computer , what is the process it it similar to the computer cpu , what does it just execute instructions . another (stupid) cross-examine let read aloud i want to run a game , will the process see its code and execute chain by line

Acronym for million instructions per second. A dated measure of a computer's speed and power, MIPS measures roughly the number of gadget instructions that a computer can execute in one second. However, different instructions require more or smaller amount time than others, and there is no standard method for measure MIPS. In addition, MIPS refers one and only to the CPU speed, whereas real applications are unanimously limited by other factor, such as I/O speed. A machine beside a high MIPS rating, and so, might not run a particular application any faster than a contrivance with a low MIPS rating. For adjectives these reasons, MIPS ratings are unfamiliar often anymore. In reality, some people jokingly claim that MIPS really stands for Meaningless Indicator of Performance.
